Innovation & Prototyping Laboratory

A dedicated facility within the Department of Mechanical Engineering supporting additive manufacturing, design validation, and interdisciplinary student projects.

About the Lab

Where Ideas Become Physical Prototypes

The Innovation & Prototyping Laboratory was established to give students across Mechanical, Electronics, Computer Science, and Civil Engineering direct access to rapid prototyping tools. The lab supports design validation, functional testing, and small-batch fabrication for coursework, competitions, and sponsored projects.

As part of its ongoing infrastructure expansion, the laboratory is currently procuring an industrial/prosumer-grade 3D printer to strengthen its additive manufacturing capability. Details of this procurement are published on the Procurement & Tenders page.
